The “Give Way to Life!” campaign is gaining momentum to reduce the number of people killed and injured in road accidents in Bulgaria through education, which aims to prepare young people as tolerant and traffic-compliant future drivers and current companions in the car. Last month, the first two pilot interactive trainings were held in Sofia within the framework of the project of Rotary Bulgaria and the Institute of Psychology at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The training was aimed at building sustainable behavioral models in two age groups - from 9 to 12 years, and from 16 to 18 years. . The team of psychologists, led by Yablena Hristova, conducted a pilot training on the topic "Emotions" with 24 students from 4th grade at Sofia's 125th School "Boyan Penev". The purpose of the interactive training is to acquaint the students with the basic emotions, to give guidance on the recognition of the feelings and emotions, their expression and exemplary techniques for their regulation. At the same time, the acquired knowledge helps to develop the emotional intelligence of the participants, their ability to identify and understand the emotions of others and to develop empathic abilities. The next training was held with 23 students from the 9th grade of the Sofia National Finance and Economics High School.
